Traditional Canopy Bed

Traditional Canopy Bed can be seen right from the beginning – from the time of Cleopatra and Ajanta Cave Paintings. In fact, the word canopy was coined around the 1300s and has roots in Greek for “bed with mosquito curtains”. It was only in the times of Queen Anne when the height was reduced for accessibility as the designs became lighter and smaller than the earlier ones.

The Poster Beds at Aarsun are unique as each piece is carefully handcrafted as per the need and specific requirements of the clients. No two units are the same. The design, the polish, and even the shade is decided by our clients.
